A fascinating example of independence of the mechanism that creates plumes and mechanism which is "responsible" for the "cell-type" of increased reflectivity. While the cell top at the south end of the storm exhibits a very high reflectivity (displayed dark), the reflectivity of the plume is somewhat lower (it is displayed not as dark) - though still higher than is the reflectivity of the rest of the anvil.
